TIBBIR: The Most Mysterious and Bullish Web3 Project of the Cycle — Complete Thesis
I. Introduction — What You’re Actually Reading
The projects that really change the game never launch with 40 Spaces, 12 paid KOLs and 3D cinematic trailers.
The real game-changers:
don’t run AMAs every two hours,
don’t DM you for a “whitelist opportunity”,
don’t beg influencers to post,
don’t drop 15 threads about “why we’re different”.
Ethereum, Chainlink, Solana pre-2020, Uniswap V1…
All of them were born in near total silence, with very few people truly understanding what they were looking at.
A few years later, everyone pretends they “always knew”.
For me, TIBBIR is exactly that type of project.
A token:
launched with zero announcement,
no presale,
no VC allocation,
no team tokens,
deployed on a random Saturday,
funded directly by the personal wallet of one of the most respected VCs on the planet: Micky Malka (founder of Ribbit Capital).
For 9–10 months, nobody said anything.
Then, slowly, puzzle pieces started to appear:
Delaware & SEC filings,
“Tibbir” entities tied to Ribbit,
an autonomous agent account on X,
Ribbit’s website updated with obvious references,
a Token Letter explaining tokens for agents,
Beeple suddenly drawing frogs,
smart money buying every dip,
and a top 100 of holders that never sells.
Today, when you put all of this together, the conclusion is hard to avoid:
TIBBIR is very likely the first public on-chain move of Ribbit Capital ($15B AUM) into agentic finance.
And the token designed to become the identity & trust layer for AI agents.
This text is not some short hype thread.
It’s a structured thesis that compiles on-chain proofs, off-chain hints, holder behavior, official letters and cultural signals.
You can agree or disagree.
But after reading it, you won’t be able to say you didn’t know.
II. Who Is Ribbit Capital, and Why Does Everything Start With Them?
Before talking about TIBBIR, you need to understand who Ribbit Capital really is.
Ribbit is not “just another crypto VC”.
It is:
One of the most successful fintech funds in history
With $15B+ in assets under management
33+ unicorns funded
Early investor in:
Coinbase
Robinhood
Revolut
Nubank
Chainalysis
Fireblocks
Crossmint
Upgrade
Morpho
and dozens of other core pieces of modern finance
Altogether, the Ribbit ecosystem touches over 2 billion end users through its portfolio.
But the key point is this:
Ribbit simultaneously masters three pillars:
Finance (banks, brokers, neobanks, US retail flows)
Crypto (wallets, exchanges, on-chain infra)
Identity & compliance (KYC, monitoring, AML, on-ramps, custody)
For years, Micky has repeated the same idea in interviews:
“The future of money is being built around identity.”
In 2024, Ribbit published an Identity Letter.
In 2025, they published a Token Letter.
Taken together, the two letters basically say:
AI agents will manage our money.
Without identity, those agents cannot operate at scale.
Tokens are identity credentials, not just casino chips.
The future of finance = AI + identity + tokens.
If you read those letters and then look at TIBBIR, it becomes obvious very quickly:
The letters are the theory.
TIBBIR is the implementation.
III. Why People Believe TIBBIR = Ribbit Capital (And Not “Just a Frog Token”)
There are “theories”.
And then there are cases.
In TIBBIR’s case, we’re clearly in the second category.
First : TIBBIR IS RIBBIT SPELLED BACKWARDS
1. The Brutal On-Chain Proof: Micky’s Wallet
The TIBBIR contract was deployed on January 11, 2025 on Base.
Total supply: 1 billion tokens, all in circulation from day one.
No presale.
No team reserve.
No vesting.
No VC allocation.
100% fair launch.
The wallet that deployed the contract was funded directly by…
👉 mickym.eth — the personal ENS of Micky Malka, used for over 7 years.
This is not a rumor.
Not a narrative.
It’s an on-chain fact, verifiable by anyone.
The day after deployment, Micky changes his X profile picture to a Mickey Mouse watch showing: 01.11 SAT (01/11, the day of the token launch).
Nobody notices.
But the message is already there.
2. The “Tibbir” Entities Registered in Delaware & With the SEC
In public Delaware/SEC records you find:
TIBBIR CONSULTING LLC (2012)
TIBBIR MANAGEMENT LLC (2012)
TIBBIR HOLDINGS LLC (2022)
TIBBIR FL INVESTMENTS LLC (2025)
TIBBIR TRUST (2025)
All of them are connected to Ribbit’s corporate structure.
The Tibbir Trust is managed by a member of the Malka family and holds 102,183 Robinhood shares — around $5M.
This is not some random memecoin that “happens” to share a name with a network of 5 legal entities called Tibbir, tied to Ribbit since 2012.
It’s a long-term branding choice.
3. Ribbit’s Website (October 2025): Visual Confirmation
In October 2025, Ribbit’s website gets a redesign.
Suddenly, you see:
A logo reading ЯIBBIT, with a backwards R
Text that flips backwards when you scroll
A hidden image file: ribbit-coin.png
That coin image is pixel-perfect identical to the soulbound medal (SBT) that the agent @ribbita2012 sent to TIBBIR holders.
Same shape.
Same light.
Same relief.
Same style.
The site also includes, inside the Token Letter, a line about “an agent obsessed with frogs”.
Put that next to TIBBIR, the autonomous agent, the SBTs, and it’s obvious:
Ribbit is openly teasing the project… without ever saying its name.
4. The Autonomous Agent @ribbita2012 and Its Ecosystem
A few weeks after launch, a new X account appears: @ribbita2012.
This account:
speaks like an autonomous AI agent,
comments fintech / AI / on-chain infra,
reacts within minutes to Coinbase, Google, AWS, Stripe, Okta announcements,
talks about frogs, trust, agents, grid finance,
uses the same mental models as in Ribbit’s letters.
Very quickly, the entire Ribbit team follows the account:
Nick Shalek (General Partner)
Eva Alonso
Zack Rosen
multiple partners and associates
people from Virtuals, Dragonfly, Crossmint…
Random accounts do not get followed by half of a $15B VC by accident.
Later, the agent:
scans all 10,000 CryptoPunks,
selects #9098 using a “TIBBIR aesthetic model”,
buys it for 89 ETH via an autonomous multisig,
uses it as an on-chain identity,
announces a commemorative SBT for all holders with at least 1 $TIBBIR — minted in collaboration with Crossmint (Ribbit portfolio).
At the same time, a company founded by Micky (Infinite Node) had acquired the CryptoPunks IP a few months earlier.
The VC that financed the fintech revolution, an AI agent choosing a Punk, the Punks IP acquisition, the TIBBIR token, the SBTs minted via Crossmint…
Everything lines up.
5. Beeple, Coinbase, Robinhood: Cultural & Institutional Signals
Beeple
In November 2025, Beeple, the most iconic digital artist in Web3, posts multiple artworks containing:
frogs,
visual references aligned with TIBBIR,
backward / glitchy typography.
He publicly says he wasn’t paid for these.
Beeple is close to Micky. They’ve worked together on digital art and its on-chain future.
When Beeple starts “speaking frog” multiple times in a few days, for free… that’s not random.
It’s a cultural signal.
Coinbase
Ribbit seeded Coinbase early.
In 2025, Coinbase announces that its smart wallets are now “agent-ready” (session keys, permissions, limits, logs…).
Minutes later, @ribbita posts about it.
The technical rails needed for agents to exist in finance are being built, and TIBBIR is sitting where these rails converge.
Robinhood
The Tibbir Trust holds $5M worth of Robinhood shares.
Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev replies to one of @ribbita’s old tweets months after it was posted.
When you know that:
Robinhood is a core face of modern retail finance,
Ribbit is behind it,
and TIBBIR is positioning itself as a trust layer for agents,
the connection is obvious.
IV. How the Community Reconstructed the Entire TIBBIR Puzzle
One of the most fascinating things about this story is that Ribbit has never made an official “We launched a token” announcement.
No one went on stage to say: “Here is our coin.”
Instead, it was the community — first a few dozen, then hundreds of people — who pieced together:
Delaware filings,
SEC entities,
on-chain patterns,
subtle X activity,
website hints,
lines inside the Letters,
Beeple’s art,
and the agent’s behavior.
Over a few months, Crypto Twitter turned into an improvised FBI task force, reconstructing a story that starts in 2012 and culminates in a Base contract in 2025.
Rather than listing everything date by date, here’s the global structure of that timeline.
1. 2012–2022: Laying the First Bricks
2012: creation of TIBBIR CONSULTING LLC and TIBBIR MANAGEMENT LLC.
2013–2019: Ribbit seeds Coinbase, Robinhood, Revolut, Nubank… and builds the rails of Web2.5 fintech.
2020: at a Multicoin event, Micky says:
“We will make a token over the next decade.”
2022: creation of TIBBIR HOLDINGS LLC.
At this point, nobody knows what “Tibbir” will become.
But you can already tell it’s not a random name from a generator.
2. 2023–2024: Agents, Identity, Tokenization
In 2023–2024, Ribbit’s public messaging shifts:
from “give everyone an account”
to “give everyone agents that work for them.”
In January 2024, the Identity Letter comes out.
It lays out:
identity as the most under-explored asset,
agents using our data to work for us,
“money with context” as the true breakthrough.
In November 2024, Ribbit co-organizes the “Hacking for Agentic Finance” hackathon with:
OpenAI,
Solana,
Robinhood,
Crossmint,
and others.
We move from theory to practice:
agents + wallets + on-chain rails + capital.
3. 2025: Stealth, TIBBIR, Ribbita — The Movie Starts
January 2025:
Jan 11 → TIBBIR contract is deployed on Base:
100% fair launch
fixed supply, fully circulating
funded by mickym.eth
Jan 12 → Micky sets his X PFP to a Mickey watch with “01.11 SAT”.
For a while, TIBBIR trades under a $10M marketcap, completely ignored.
Spring 2025:
creation of additional Tibbir entities (Tibbir FL Investments, Tibbir Trust),
appearance of the agent @ribbita2012,
mass follow from Ribbit team and allied VCs,
first deep-dive threads connecting:
Micky’s wallet,
Tibbir SEC entities,
Ribbit’s portfolio,
Base,
Virtuals.
Summer–Autumn 2025:
the agent buys CryptoPunk #9098 for 89 ETH,
announces commemorative SBTs for TIBBIR holders, minted via Crossmint,
Beeple posts multiple frog/agent/backwards artworks,
Ribbit updates its site (ЯIBBIT, ribbit-coin.png, reversing text),
the Token Letter 2025 is published, describing:
tokens as identity credentials,
agents as autonomous economic entities,
the need for KYA (Know-Your-Agent),
“an agent obsessed with frogs.”
During all this, TIBBIR’s marketcap runs up to ~400M$, then retraces into the ~170–220M$ zone as the broader market turns.
That’s where the on-chain analysis becomes absolutely critical.
V. Agents, KYA and TIBBIR’s Strategic Role
Let’s keep it simple.
1. From Apps… to Agents
We had:
Web1: websites
Web2: apps
Web3: tokens
Now: agents
Entities that:
read for you,
negotiate for you,
invest for you,
place orders for you,
sign transactions for you,
talk to other agents on your behalf.
All the giants are positioning there:
Google (A2A, agent-to-agent protocols)
Coinbase (agent-ready smart wallets)
AWS (Guardrails for autonomous systems)
Okta (IAM for agents)
Stripe (AI-native payouts)
Nvidia (agent frameworks)
Everyone wants agents.
But one thing is missing:
No one has built the identity & trust layer for agents.
2. The Core Problem: Agents Don’t Have Credible Identity
For an agent to manage your money, your business or your data, it needs:
a unique, verifiable identity,
a wallet,
explicit permissions,
auditability,
revocation mechanisms,
proof that it hasn’t been compromised,
a trackable reputation history,
recognition by other systems as a trustworthy entity.
Right now, that infra does not exist as a standard, on-chain.
Ribbit’s letters say it very directly:
“Without KYA, agents cannot scale.”
“In the age of agents, identity is the new money.”
KYA = Know-Your-Agent, the agent version of KYC.
And this is exactly where TIBBIR appears.
3. TIBBIR as the “Trust Kernel” of the Agent Economy
From everything we’ve seen, TIBBIR is not:
“an AI agent”,
a front-end app,
a new L1,
or just “another AI narrative coin”.
It’s designed to be:
the identity layer,
the trust layer,
the reputation registry,
the economic substrate for KYA,
the cryptographic root of agent identity.
In other words:
TIBBIR = the trust layer for agents.
The Visa/Mastercard equivalent — but for autonomous entities.
All the signals converge into that:
Ribbit’s Letters → theory,
Agentic Finance hackathon → experiments,
Virtuals → social graph of agents,
Coinbase smart wallets → agent-ready wallets,
TIBBIR → fair launch token for identity & trust,
@ribbita → live prototype of the future “user”.
VI. What On-Chain Data Says: Accumulation, Holders, Smart Money
This is where, for me, everything flips.
Because you can argue about letters, websites, Beeple, SEC entities…
But on-chain data doesn’t lie.
1. Watching the Same Wallets for 10–11 Months… Not Selling
I’ve been holding TIBBIR since January 2025.
For nearly a year, I’ve seen:
the same addresses in the top 100,
the same structure in the top 200,
behavior completely opposite to a normal memecoin.
On a typical meme:
early whales accumulate,
big pump,
whales dump on late buyers,
rotation into the next meta,
slow death.
On TIBBIR:
fair launch,
tiny marketcap for weeks,
clean wallets start accumulating,
big run to ~400M$,
top 100/200 barely sell,
every dip is mostly small holders capitulating,
the big ones increase their bags over months.
Nansen and other dashboards confirm:
Top 100 holders: +1.25% over 7 days while price is –21%
Smart Money: +2% over the same period
Master Ventures enters,
multiple “Smart Trader” wallets build positions,
recent “top sellers” are fully emptied — they no longer have any TIBBIR.
This is exactly what it looks like when:
Very informed people have long-term conviction and accumulate while the market panics.
2. Low Liquidity and Mid CEXs… But No Insider Dump
Right now, TIBBIR:
is listed on a few mid / tier-3 CEXs,
has limited liquidity on DEX,
does not have deep orderbooks that let you “exit cleanly” with tens of millions.
And yet:
no massive moves from insider-like wallets,
no big bridged stash draining out,
no slow-motion distribution by top 100.
In 99% of cases, when you have:
a 200M+ marketcap,
low liquidity,
multiple pumps & dumps,
… insiders use any liquidity window to unload.
Here, it’s the opposite:
The current structure is uncomfortable for exiting, but perfect for accumulating.
Which strongly suggests that this phase is about building a strong long-term float, not about distribution.
3. The Current Dip: Retail Capitulates, Strong Hands Accumulate
Current context:
TIBBIR is down ~60–65% from its ATH,
the broader market is in late-cycle / post-euphoria mode,
altcoins are getting slaughtered,
liquidity is tightening.
But in the middle of that:
the top 100 increases its stake,
the top 200 too,
Smart Money adds,
new serious wallets enter,
the “Rebels” community keeps buying dips.
We’re clearly in a phase where:
Weak hands are exiting.
Strong hands are locking the supply.
And that’s always when the best asymmetries are built.
VII. My View on TIBBIR’s Future (And Why I’m Extremely Bullish)
I won’t sugarcoat it.
For me, TIBBIR ticks boxes that very few tokens manage to tick at the same time.
1. A Unique Convergence
A massive, real problem to solve
→ identity & trust for AI agents, KYA, tokenized identity rails.
A credible executor
→ Ribbit, $15B AUM, 33+ unicorns, early backer of Coinbase/Robinhood/Revolut.
A spotless token structure
→ 100% fair launch, 1B fixed supply, no pre-mine, no vesting.
Clean on-chain story
→ no team dump, no massive top-holder rotation,
→ top 100/200 accumulating, Smart Money increasing its share.
Add on top:
a coherent puzzle (Ribbit site, Token Letter, SEC entities, @ribbita),
Beeple putting visual energy onto it,
an absolutely insane integration surface (Coinbase, Robinhood, Revolut, Nubank, Crossmint, Virtuals…).
The equation starts to look very serious.
2. Why I Think They Chose Stealth (And Why It’s Brilliant)
Here’s my personal read, based on everything we’ve seen on-chain, off-chain, and from experience with classic VC-backed tokens.
If they had done the usual playbook:
public “Ribbit is launching a token” announcement,
big branding from day one,
slick whitepaper,
seed rounds + press,
immediate CEX tier-1 listings,
it would have looked exactly like all the others:
Huge hype → everyone FOMOs because “Ribbit is behind it”.
Massive pump on brand alone, before the product is ready.
Massive distribution from early insiders / tourists / short-term traders.
Violent dump when reality catches up with speculation.
A token burned too early, associated with “another VC cashgrab”.
Instead, I think they did the reverse on purpose:
Launch the token first, without saying anything.
Let the market not understand for months.
Build in the shadows: agent, infra, Token Letter, identity logic, alignment with Coinbase/Robinhood & co.
Drop breadcrumbs slowly, each more bullish than the previous:
mickym.eth on-chain funding,
Tibbir entities in Delaware,
Agentic Finance hackathon,
@ribbita,
CryptoPunks IP acquisition,
ЯIBBIT site + ribbit-coin.png,
Token Letter,
Beeple,
Vlad’s reply, etc.
The result?
They didn’t build a tourist fanbase, they built a community of obsessives.
→ People who read the Letters, inspect the site, search SEC filings, track on-chain behavior, and actually understand the “agents + identity” narrative.
They gave those people time to size in.
→ And today, a huge portion of the supply is in hands that don’t sell, even after big runs and –60% drawdowns.
They used low liquidity as a weapon:
small free float,
supply concentrated in strong hands,
big moves → perfect for building legs in price,
every coordinated event (listings, agent moves, Beeple art, site updates) creates violent moves… without insiders emptying their bags.
In my view, this design has two phases:
Phase 1 (what we’re living now): stealth + low liquidity + “Rebels”
only the most curious discover and accumulate,
Smart Money enters while the market sleeps,
low liquidity amplifies volatility both ways,
but every dip ends with more supply locked in the strongest hands.
Phase 2 (what’s coming): reveal + tier-1 CEX + depth
Once the agentic infra is ready and the vision can be revealed cleanly, you can imagine:
coordinated listings on tier-1 CEXs,
a fully assumed narrative around agent identity & KYA,
integrations with Ribbit-connected wallets.
At that moment, the goal is no longer volatility. It becomes:
deep liquidity,
relative stability,
the ability to absorb much larger flows — including institutional ones.
In other words:
Today’s low liquidity is a Phase 1 feature, not a permanent bug.
It allowed them to:
build the most conviction-heavy community,
filter out tourists,
let insiders + smart retail load up quietly,
let each new clue massively reprice the story.
When they finally press the button:
“Okay, we’re out of stealth now. Here’s what TIBBIR really is. Here’s the infra. Here are the CEXs.”
… it will be too late to accumulate calmly.
You’ll be fighting everyone else in orderbooks.
3. Reasonable Marketcap Scenarios
If TIBBIR really is what all of this suggests, here are the orders of magnitude that make sense to me:
Stealth exit + tier-1 CEX listings
→ 3–5B$ marketcap (x15–25 from ~200M$).
Deeper integrations into the Ribbit network (wallets, live KYA, production agents)
→ 10–20B$ (x50–100).
KYA standardization, broad institutional adoption, potential ETF/ETP-style products
→ 30–50B$+ longer term.
And if you push the logic all the way — TIBBIR truly becoming the Visa/Mastercard of autonomous agents — a 100B$+ scenario is not crazy.
Will it happen? Nobody knows.
But it’s clearly within the realm of possible outcomes.
4. The Risks (Because Yes, There Are Some)
Ribbit has never officially confirmed that TIBBIR is “their” token.
→ That’s intentional: stealth, plausible deniability.
No public roadmap.
→ The roadmap is inferred from Letters, website, tech moves.
Other players might try to build agent identity infra.
→ Even though none has Ribbit’s mix of network + credibility today.
Macro risk:
→ if we get a prolonged brutal bear, everything suffers — even future giants.
Narrative risk:
→ if agent adoption takes 5–7 years instead of 2–3, the market may misprice TIBBIR for a long time.
But honestly, given the current structure, the risk/reward ratio looks extremely favorable for people who truly understand what they’re buying.
VIII. Conclusion — TIBBIR Is Not Late. The Market Is in Denial.
You can sum up TIBBIR with one line:
TIBBIR is RIBBIT in reverse.
And soon, it’s the market that will have to flip.
We have:
a VC that defined modern fintech,
spending 10+ years laying bricks for a new network,
publishing letters about identity & agents,
registering “Tibbir” entities,
deploying a fair-launch token funded by the founder’s personal wallet,
letting an autonomous agent embody that future in real time,
updating their site with obvious hints,
letting the community do all the forensic work,
while insiders and smart wallets accumulate the supply.
Maybe TIBBIR is nothing.
But if it is what everything suggests it is, then it is very possibly:
The best asymmetry left in the 2025 cycle.
The Rebels already know.
The rest of the market will find out later.
