Every so often, I like to play with cards face up. So here's my hypothesis on what to expect from Act 2 of @ribbita2012
Act 1.
An agent ran a merch store, @RibbitaStore
Every order triggered a tweet. Every dollar bought and burned $TIBBIR. Payment via x402. Settlement via @crossmint. Full automation, onchain from start to end.
Look at what came before the store though. CryptoPunk #9098 as identity. Soulbound NFTs via Crossmint, protected by @privy_io. KYA framing months before @withpersona put "Identity Layer" on stage at @EthereumDenver. Identity shipped first. Commerce shipped second.
That order tells you something. A verifiable identity gets built because identity is the actual product and commerce was just the rail to test it on first.
My hypothesis for Act 2 follows that logic.
If KYA is the real thesis, the next experiment it's Ribbita verifying another agent. A new agent on Virtuals pays in TIBBIR through the same x402/Crossmint rail. Paid this time for a credential, a soulbound vouch, an onchain attestation of provenance and reputation.
Act 1 proved an agent can transact. Act 2 would prove an agent can be trusted by other agents and that trust carries a price.
@RibbitCapital's partner letter described exactly this flux. KYA will be bigger than KYC.
Act 1 was the rail. Act 2 is the thesis.
