What's all this talk of Paris, Bakeries, and TIBBIR? Featured in the @RibbitCapital video series, The Cour du Commerce Saint-André is a historic passageway in Paris’s Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighborhood with unusually strong ties to the French Revolution. During the late 18th century, the area became a gathering place for revolutionary thinkers and political agitators. Nearby Le Procope hosted figures such as Danton, Marat and other revolutionaries, while Jean-Paul Marat’s newspaper L’Ami du peuple—one of the Revolution’s most influential radical publications—was printed in the passage. Because of this history, the Cour du Commerce Saint-André can symbolize rebellion, revolutionary ideas, challenging established institutions, and new systems replacing old ones. In a modern context, it makes a particularly evocative setting for imagery built around the idea of “rebels” disrupting an entrenched system Ribbit literally edited the $TIBBIR logo onto the signage, yet some of you are still waiting for confirmation. The future belongs to the Rebels 🐸
