Why Robinhood Chain
Why TIBBIR moved, and how the swap works.

A new home for the frog.
In autumn 2026, TIBBIR moved from Base to Robinhood Chain, the blockchain for financial activity that Robinhood opened to the public in July 2026. The idea is to live closer to the tools a financial helper needs: ways to move money, swap assets and check permissions.
Keep one thing straight. Robinhood Chain is the network. The Robinhood app is a separate product where people buy investments. TIBBIR lives on the network. Whether the app ever offers it is a different question.
How the move works.
Think of swapping old tickets for new ones. Old TIBBIR on Base are cancelled, and the same number of new TIBBIR are handed out on Robinhood Chain from a stock set aside in advance. We followed one swap of 100,000 tokens on 11 October 2026: cancelled on one side, delivered on the other 141 seconds later.
The swap only goes one way. The new token also trades against ETH instead of VIRTUAL, so the machinery around it has changed, not just its address.
Keep the two money routes separate.
The deposit we followed used USDC on Base. Robinhood’s published Earn setup uses a different digital dollar, USDG, on Robinhood Chain. Both involve Morpho and Steakhouse. The buttons below show each route. A shared service does not turn the Base transaction into a Robinhood transaction.
Two routes through credit
- TIBBIR admin account
- Splits Earn
- Steakhouse Prime USDC
- Morpho market
A historical treasury deposit through nested vaults. The receipt is the record we can inspect.
Shared providers, different assets and networks. The Base receipt is not a Robinhood Earn transaction or a brokerage listing for TIBBIR.
A good home still needs a good product.
Being on a financial network makes useful connections easier. It does not create them by itself. The real test is a service where you can see what you approved, what it cost and what you got.
